123over Brandon Beane responds to criticism after Buffalo Bills draft doesn’t please fans as much as it should 123over

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has responded to criticism of the players he and the team’s management chose in the 2025 draft, similar to the one in 2018, in an interview with WGR 550’s The Jeremy and Joe Show. ( 123over )

“It looks like 2018 is over for you guys,” Beane said. “They complained about Josh Allen in 2018. You wanted Josh Rosen. Now you complain about us not having wide receivers. I don’t get it. We just had eight straight 30-point games last year. I heard you guys asking why we didn’t have wide receivers. I don’t get it anymore.”

‘You just saw us leading the league in scoring. When you put all the postseasons together, nobody scored more than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions. So you just saw what we did without Stephon Dix. How can this group not be better than last year’s group?’

‘Our job is to score and win games. What do we need to improve on? Defense. We’ve got it. I get it. You have to have a show and you have to have something to talk about. But talking about wide receivers is one of the dumbest arguments I’ve ever heard.’

‘I get it. I just think, let’s be realistic. Our job is not to bring out the best wide receivers, not just in fantasy football. We have Josh Allen. The first thing you’ve got to do is protect him. You can’t have everything. You can’t have a Pro Bowl wide receiver and a Pro Bowl offensive line and three great running backs. You’ve got to choose. Of course I want to play fantasy football. There’s only one ball in football. You can’t have too many people.’

‘Our job is to score points. If you score at the level we do, that’s winning football games.’
