    The Seagulls have been one of the better performers this season and are on course to secure a place in Europe. They are currently eighth in the table with 43 points from 27 games, just four points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

    Fabian Herzeler’s side started February in dismal fashion as they were thrashed 7-0 by Nottingham Forest, their biggest league defeat for the club in 67 years.

    However, they have made amends with five consecutive victories in all competitions, most recently beating Newcastle in extra time in the FA Cup fifth round last week, and have won three in a row in the league over Chelsea, Southampton and Bournemouth.

    A win at Fulham on Saturday would make them the first team in top-flight history to win four consecutive games after losing by seven or more goals since Grimsby, who lost 9-1 to Arsenal in January 1931 before winning their next four. ( 123over )
