123overr Micah Parsons injured his left ankle during Thursday’s win over the New York Giants.

The Dallas Cowboys are awaiting the results of an MRI scan on Micah Parsons after the 25-year-old linebacker suffered a left ankle injury in the final quarter of Thursday’s 20-15 win over the New York Giants, ESPN reports. 123overr

“Right now, I’m just putting ice on it,” Parsons said as he sat in front of his locker with a bandage on his left ankle, which forced him to leave the field with 3:30 left in the game. “Little did I know. I’ve got an MRI on Friday and I’m going to try to come back next week.”

The Cowboys sent Parsons to MetLife Stadium for an X-ray that came back negative, while teammate DeMarcus Lawrence, who left in the third quarter with a right ankle injury, said he was fine but is still undergoing an MRI scan.

“He’s a great player, he’s a great playmaker,” quarterback Dak Prescott said of Parsons. “I haven’t seen him too much, but (he) stopped the run on the last possession and honestly, I hope it’s not too serious. There’s not a lot of doubt or negative thoughts that go through my head. So yeah, I don’t want to think about anything major. Hopefully my thoughts are correct and it’s a little bit of a big deal. He seemed in good spirits, so I was in good spirits. We’re in good spirits.”

Prescott completed 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, with no interceptions, on passes from CeeDee Lamb and Rico Dowdle, while Brandon Aubrey made 2 of 3 field goals, including two 60-yard attempts. 

“It’s always good to win, especially on the road,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said after the win over the Giants to improve to 2-2. “It’s best to win on the road. In a division, you can add a new dimension to the game. So, yeah, we feel good about what we’ve accomplished, but I think this is the fourth week in a row where we realize we’ve got a lot more work to do.” ( 123overr  )
