Roma have accepted a bid to sell Smalling to Al-Fayha after signing former Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso, with Smalling having just one year left on his current deal. 

Al-Fayha, who finished ninth in the Saudi league last season, confirmed on Monday that they have signed the former Manchester United player on a two-year deal. 

For Chris Smalling, he has been with Roma since the 2019/20 season on loan from Manchester United before moving permanently in the summer. He has played a total of 155 matches for the Wolves, scoring 10 goals, and winning the Europa Conference League with the team in 2022.

Last season, the former England international was plagued by injuries, making just 12 appearances in all competitions, and this season he has been on the bench for Roma’s first three league games, but has not played. ( thaisiambet )
