Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Los Blancos will reassess their transfer market this winter after their final game of the year against Sevilla, according to Diario AS on Saturday. 

Real Madrid have not signed a new player in the January transfer window for six years, amid much speculation about the January plans of a Los Blancos side struggling with a number of defensive injuries.

Real Madrid are currently without Eder Militao and Daniel Carvajal due to serious injuries that will keep them out for long periods, while David Alaba still has no clear date for his return to the pitch, and Lucas Vazquez will have to sit out around a month to rehab. Therefore, Los Blancos may find a solution by signing more defenders.

It remains unclear whether Real Madrid will be in the market for a transfer in January, with Ancelotti saying the Los Blancos will reassess the situation after their final game of the year against Sevilla.
