Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Mark Andrews was involved in a car accident on his way to practice on Wednesday, but the 28-year-old was uninjured, Baltimore police said. 

The two cars involved in the accident were reportedly badly damaged, including Andrews’, but the Ravens’ veteran winger was unharmed. ( sakidbet )

“I appreciate everyone’s comments and well wishes. This is a good reminder about the importance of wearing a seatbelt and staying alert while driving,” Andrews said in a statement after the crash. 

Baltimore police and officers responded to the injured man at 9:45 a.m. local time in the 9700 block of Lions Mill Road, just 1.5 miles from the Ravens’ practice facility. No players were reported injured and the case remains unsolved. 

“He feels fine,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said of Andrews. “I believe it was a pretty bad accident. He came out with nothing on him, not even a scratch.” 

Andrews did not practice Wednesday, but the Ravens noted that it was a previously scheduled off day for the three-time Pro Bowl wideout, and the 28-year-old is expected to return to practice in the coming days.
