Ange hints at starting center pair returning to team on March 7 123over

123over Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou said at his pre-match press conference ahead of their trip to Ipswich (February 22) that the squad will be the same as last week, but the good news is that centre-backs Cristian Romero and Mickey van de Ven are likely to be back in time for the first leg of the Europa League last-16 tie. 123over

Spurs have been drawn to face Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, who travel to the Netherlands for the first leg on March 7. With that time of day still more than three weeks away, it’s safe to say that both centre-backs are available. 

“There are no concerns about new injuries from last week and everyone else is in good shape,” the 59-year-old said. 

“We played two games a short time apart, so I want both to succeed.”

“It’s a good opportunity for some players to get a taste of real competition, so hopefully Romero and Micky will be back in time for the first leg of the Europa League.”
