Arraiza returns to NFL, signs with Chiefs marinabays

Ariza entered the league as a 6th round draft pick in the 2022 class by the Bills, but was released by the Buffaloes before the start of that season. He is accused in a civil lawsuit of participating in the 2021 rape of a 17-year-old girl during an off-campus party at San Diego State University, where Ariza is a former student. 

However, prosecutors confirmed in December 2022 that Ariza and his former team-mates would not face such charges. Meanwhile, he also agreed to drop the defamation case against her. That gave the 23-year-old punt a chance to return to the NFL again until he ended up with the Chiefs, the champions of Super Bowl 58.
