The Gunners announced the signing of the 22-year-old defender on a long-term deal on Monday.  ( sunlit1688 )

The Gunners have been in talks with Bologna for weeks before finally succeeding in signing the Italian international.

“We welcome Riccardo and his family to Arsenal. He is a great signing and will add strength to our defence,” the Spaniard said.

“Ricciardo has a great personality and character, as well as special skills that will make us even stronger in our pursuit of major trophies. He has shown great improvement over the years, both with Bologna and with the Italian national team. 

The development and progress in the last year has been very impressive.
