The statement confirmed that when training resumed on Wednesday, Zappacosta underwent a scan and was diagnosed with a grade 1 calf muscle injury in his left leg.

The injury was a calf muscle strain, and while the calf muscle is a fragile muscle when injured, its Grade 1 status means he should be able to return to action in about three to four weeks.
