Player1688 Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson sees the next game against the Boston Celtics (Nov. 19) as a challenge he wants to take on because in addition to the defending champions, he is also trying to prove whether he can maintain his unbeaten record. Player1688 

The Cavaliers start the 2024-25 season with a 15-0 record, excelling in both offense and defense, while the Celtics are solid and have a fairly strong head-to-head record, as they did in the Eastern Conference playoffs in Round 2 last season. 

So Coach Atkinson urges his team to take on the challenge. 

“I know the guys are concerned, they’re still remembering what happened last season,” Atkinson said, referring to the five-game series defeat before he took over. 

“We are doing well, they are doing well.” 

“What could be better than a big game at Boston TD Garden? It’s great for the league, great for the franchise, we’re all excited about it.”  

“The Celtics can play a different style. All five players are good shooters, so this is a real test for us.”

“Now with a 15-0 record, it’s good to test ourselves against the best competitors to see where we stand. Let’s see if there are any things we need to adjust or if there are any more adjustments.”

“Honestly, this game comes at the perfect time to give us a chance to show our maturity in a good way and show where we stand.” 

A similar game occurred on January 30, 1996 , when the Chicago Bulls defeated the defending champion Houston Rockets to maintain their 16-0   unbeaten record . Player1688
