baconclub66 Chicago Bears head coach John Fox is set to leave Soldier Field at the end of 2017, after receiving word that he will be fired at the end of the regular season.
‘NFL Network’ confirmed that immediately after the game at Minnesota Vikings on December 31, the 62-year-old coach ceased to be the head coach of ‘The Bears’. baconclub66
The reason for the change is because Fox has been unable to push Chicago, which has rookie quarterback Mitch Trubisky, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 draft, to produce, and they are stuck in the NFC North at 5-10 before kickoff for the final game of the regular season.
It was a masterpiece that the team lost double digits in three consecutive seasons with Fox in the front office (2015: 6-10, 2016: 3-13).
The selection of a new head coach will be the responsibility of general manager Ryan Pace and club chairman Ted Phillips.
