Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles expects the Pirates to change their mindset and become more of a killer as they pursue a fifth straight NFC South title in 2025, NFL Network reports.  baconclub66

“I feel good about how we know how to win,” Bowles said. “I feel bad about how we ended up in the playoffs and then in the middle of the season, we didn’t play for two years in a row. We’ve got to get better from there, from a coaching perspective, from the veteran players who have to hold each other accountable, which they did. But we’ve got to do a lot more.”

‘We have to play better football at the end of the game, but we have to have killer instinct. We have to try to beat people and try to win the division instead of letting it end in the last week.’

Since Bowles took over as head coach from Bruce Arians, the Pirates have won three division titles, but they are 1-3 in the post-season, have faltered midway through the season and are far from making the playoffs, and the 61-year-old head coach wants his team to change its mindset as they pursue a fifth consecutive division title. 

“There’s more accountability. There’s more accountability in practice and in competition,” Bowles said. “It’s not about coaching. They can hear me talking every day, all day on the stage. But when they start talking to each other and start holding each other accountable, from a vocal standpoint, whether it’s tough love or kind love, whatever it is, it makes sense of where we stand and how we approach the game important.”

‘You have to develop that position throughout the spring and summer through a chemistry perspective to make sure you understand where you’re at, to have more competition in training camp or something like that, and do little things like that to help them move forward.’ ( baconclub66 )
