baconclub66 The LA Chargers, a fan favorite franchise in the early ’90s, received some good news ahead of the playoffs in three weeks as wide receiver Hunter Henry returned to practice, potentially helping the team in time for the post season.
NBC Sports reported that Henry suffered an ACL injury early in the 2018 season and is expected to be out for a long time. baconclub66
However, his recovery and physical therapy process has improved significantly enough that he was able to practice earlier this week. The team has three weeks to consider whether to move him from injured reserve to the 53-man active roster.
“I’m not surprised because I’ve always had my mind set on coming back this season. I’ve been pushing myself since the day I got injured,” the winger told the club’s website.
“I’m working as hard as I can. There’s still a lot to do before I can compete again. I have to prepare myself… Even though the process is different from before, at least I’m able to shake off the rust.”
The Chargers are now 11-3, guaranteed a playoff spot, but will be looking to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs, who are tied for the AFC West title, in Week 16 when the Thunderbirds play the Ravens on Saturday (Dec. 22). ( baconclub66 )
