baconclub66 Rising quarterback Sam Darnold signed a four-year rookie contract with the New York Jets on Monday.
Sam Darnold, the third-round pick in the NFL draft, agreed to a four-year, $30.25 million rookie contract with the New York Jets after training camp on Monday, ESPN reported. baconclub66
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Darnold, the 21-year-old former USC quarterback, did not participate in the start of training camp on July 26 because his rookie contract was not finalized until Monday when it was officially signed.
The 21-year-old quarterback is hoping to make up for lost time, especially starting with senior quarterbacks Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater.
Darnold had a breakout season at USC, throwing for 4,143 yards, 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 14 games before the Jets traded up to the No. 3 overall pick and signed him to a four-year, $30.25 million rookie contract on Monday. ( baconclub66 )
