baconclub66 Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields has agreed to a four-year, $40 million contract with the New York Jets.
The New York Jets have agreed to terms with 26-year-old quarterback Justin Fields on a two-year, $40 million deal with $30 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. baconclub66
The Jets are looking for a new quarterback after parting ways with Aaron Rodgers, before Gang Green settled on Fields, a former 2021 first-round draft pick who is out of contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Greens are rebuilding under Aaron Glenn and new head coach and general manager Darren Mukey, who has decided to tap Fields as the Jets’ next quarterback after a failed attempt with Rodgers.
Fields is completing 65.8 percent (106-of-161) for 1,106 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. He has rushed 62 times for 289 yards and five scores in 10 games (six starts) with the Steelers in the 2024 season.
Fields has thrown for 7,780 yards, 45 touchdowns, and 31 interceptions throughout his career, while rushing for 2,509 yards and 19 touchdowns in 50 games (44 starts). ( baconclub66 )
