Dallas Goedert, 30, has revealed the reason he decided to renew his contract to stay with the Philadelphia Eagles, saying he wanted to win another Super Bowl with the Phillies, ESPN reported. baconclub66
‘Yeah, when I got drafted the year after they won the Super Bowl, I got to experience the fun of the Super Bowl the year after they won it. After we won and got to see the banner again, I felt like I missed out on a lot of things not being there to see it all.’
“I have a lot of love for the city of Philadelphia, the owners, the chefs in the building. I have a great relationship with all of them, so I think for me, finding the best deal was for me to be there and be with the people that I find important and try to win again,” Koedert said.
The Eagles made some changes to their coaching staff this offseason after head coach Nick Sirianni promoted pitching coordinator and assistant head coach Kevin Patullo to the offensive coordinator position, replacing Kellen Mohr, who left to become head coach with the New Orleans Saints.
“I’m very excited about Kevin,” Goedert said. “He’s been with us since Syrian arrived. He’s been waiting for this opportunity and throughout the offseason, I really liked what he did with the offense. There were some little changes and I’m very excited about this opportunity. The relationship that I’ve grown with him over the last four years, he sees something different in me that he’s going to pass me the ball and I’m really excited about that.” ( baconclub66 )
