The Texans signed former first-round draft pick Derek Stingley Jr. to a long-term deal before they finalized a three-year, $39 million deal with second-round pick Petrie, with $29 million guaranteed, keeping the 25-year-old in Houston through the 2028 season.
Petrie started all 46 regular-season games over the past four years, including 12 in the 2024 campaign, before the 25-year-old cornerback was ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a pectoral muscle tear.
Throughout his career, Petrie has made 296 tackles, made six interceptions, 21 pass breakups, forced two fumbles, recovered two passes and made one sack. ( baconclub66 )
