Lonzo Ball, 27, is happy to be playing and competing for a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers after being traded from the Chicago Bulls, NBC Sports reports. 

Ball is happy to be back on the field after three knee surgeries and more than 1,000 days of rehabilitation, and to have the chance to play for a championship contender like the Cavaliers.

‘Just playing and competing for trophies, I feel like that should be the goal. I feel like that’s the goal,’ Ball said. ‘I’m just happy to go there and start meeting everyone, getting used to everything and taking it as far as we can go.’

‘I feel like it’s a blessing, to be honest. Everyone asks me how I feel about this trade. I feel like I’m happy to still be playing somewhere, especially on a team that has a real chance to win a championship. I feel like I’ve played the right basketball all my life, and that’s winning. So I feel like I’m in a good situation, and I want to do my job and do whatever it takes to help the team.’

Ball replaces the free-agent loss of Ty Jerome and can also play point guard in place of Darius Garland, who is out for a postseason injury. Foryou1688
