Valencia president Lay Hoon-Chan and sporting director Miguel Angel Corona have unveiled Enzo Barrenasia as the club’s new signing after joining from Aston Villa on a one-year loan deal, Marca reported on Friday.
Valencia have been in talks with Aston Villa since mid-August, but the Villans shelved plans to send the 23-year-old midfielder to Valencia on loan due to injuries to Unai Emery’s side, with Los Che in hot pursuit and eventually completing the deal.
Barrenasia moved to Villa Park from Juventus this summer as part of a deal that saw Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz join Juventus, while Samuel Iling-Junior joined Bologna on loan for the season.
Valencia have reportedly registered Barrenasia in time and the Argentine midfielder will be available to coach Ruben Baraja for Saturday’s La Liga clash with Villarreal. ( thaisiambet )
