Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rashad White, 26, is ready to make the most of his contract year, even as Bucky Irving is on the rise and looks to play a bigger role after a breakout rookie season, NFL Network reports. betflikth99

“I’m ready to see what this year holds,” White said. “I’m coming into the final year of my contract. I’m ready to prove what I’ve got and what I’m capable of.” 

White had a breakout 2024 season, rushing 144 times for 613 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry and three touchdowns to go along with 51 catches for 393 yards and six scores. Irving made his rookie debut with 1,122 rushing yards, becoming the first running back to hit 1,000 rushing yards since Doug Martin in 2015. 

Irving is averaging 5.4 yards per carry and has eight touchdowns, while also catching 47 times for 392 yards, making him a likely candidate to be the starting running back in 2025.

“We know what we both can do, but him and I, we’re not self-centered guys and we take pride in ourselves,” White said. “We like to give credit where credit is due. There’s a lot going on with the running attack, a lot of things that go into it, me and him, we like to give credit to our entire offensive line. We feel like we have a great O-line, and we’ve all gotten better all year together.”
