The Steelers agreed to trade Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks this offseason before signing the 27-year-old wide receiver to a five-year, $150 million contract extension.

“DK is a great role model,” Rodgers said of Metcalf. “He’s a big reason I came to Pittsburgh as well. The conversations we had and the personality he has. At the beginning of the year, I didn’t really know DK.”

‘He said, ‘He works out at 6 o’clock every day.’ I said, ‘Okay, this guy is disciplined, he’s committed.’ I said, ‘How about 8 o’clock? Because I have to drive from Malibu to UCLA.’ He said, ‘Sure, that’s fine.’ He’s not just an example, he’s a real strong human being.’
