bgames666 The Pittsburgh Steelers released backup safety J.J. Wilcox on Monday after selecting two new players at the same position in the 2018 draft last week.

The ‘Iron Man’ picked Terrell Edmunds in the first round (No. 28) and safety Marcus Allen in the fifth round (No. 148). They also have free agents Morgan Burnett and Nate Bere joining them.  bgames666

Releasing Wilcox, who is sitting on $3.125 million of the cap space, gives Pittsburgh about $3.9 million in free cap space. 

The 27-year-old fullback was traded from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season and in his only season at Heinz Field, he appeared in 12 games (one start), recording 12 tackles, one interception and one pass defense.  ( bgames666 )
