Booker takes on the role of a senior to strengthen the Suns’ young squad Marinabays 

Marinabays Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker said he tried to be a good example to young players in their 125-119 comeback win over the LA Clippers, saying he wanted to be a good example to young players on how to survive and win. Marinabays 

Booker had 40 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals, with the highlight of the game being a long-range shot that gave the Suns a 108-105 lead with 5:15 left.

It became the momentum for the team to score 73 points in the second half, stepping on the nose of the Clippers to their second home in eight days. 

  “He looks at the rookies and he says, ‘This is not a college game anymore. This is a long game. This is a possession game.'” he told Arizona Central Sports.

“Being 21 points behind and coming back to win – even if you’ve never faced that situation before, in my 10 years in the league I’ve seen a lot of situations.”

Wearing compression shorts underneath also raises questions about whether he is hurt. The 2024 Olympic gold medalist said he is just trying to get used to it.

“It’s just something that we get used to. It doesn’t hurt.”
