The Cleveland Browns have reached an agreement to sign 27-year-old free agent running back Deontae Foreman after speculation that Nick Chubb would not be available to start with the Cleveland Browns. Sun 2024, according to a report from Adam Schefter, ESPN reporter. ( lisbon365  ) 

Foreman will join the running back room alongside Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. while Chubb, the top running back, rehabilitates. He has had two surgeries since tearing his ACL in his left knee in Week 2 of the 2023 season. Kareem Hunt, who scored nine touchdowns last season, is still on the free agent market. t

The Chicago Bears signed Foreman last offseason after David Montgomery. Moved to play with the Detroit Lions, a rival team in the NFC North division. The former third-round draft pick of the 2017 class spent his first four seasons with the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, and he’s set to have his best season in 2022 as a Carolina Panther. Appearing in all 17 games (9 starts), he carried the ball 203 times for 914 yards and 5 touchdowns. 

Foreman has often had physical problems in his last season with the Bears, playing in just seven games (starting five times) and rushing the ball 92 times for 381 yards and four touchdowns.
