‘Relevo’ reports that 43-year-old Alonso is set to sign a new deal for the final season at Bay Arena and will not be extending it.
That’s because he was approached early on by Madrid to prepare to take over from ‘Ancelotti’, who also has only one year left on his contract.
Therefore, the Spanish coach aims to perform at his best in the next season, similar to the 2023-24 season in which he won the double – the Bundesliga and the DFB Cup – to instill confidence in the ‘Los Blancos’ executives that if they appoint him as the boss of the Santiago Bernabeu, they will be able to maintain the greatness of the club.
