The 28-year-old joined the Bavarians from Napoli in the summer of 2023 and has been a regular for the club, despite having three years left on his contract, but Fabrizio Romano has previously revealed that the South Korean centre-back is likely to leave the club.
Amid interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Newcastle, as well as Saudi Arabia, Kim Min-jae has confirmed he does not want to leave the club.
“For me, there is no reason for me to move. I hope I can stay, but let’s see,” Kim Min-jae told Bild.
The South Korean international has spoken out about his recent Achilles tendonitis injury, but he is continuing to play and is hoping to be fully fit next season.
“The achilles problem is still there, but I grit my teeth, close my eyes and get through it. Mistakes, injuries, too many games, these are just excuses. I still have to stay focused, that’s my job.”
