The San Francisco 49ers, one of Tittle’s former teams, said the legendary quarterback died on Sunday, Oct. 8. ESPN reported that Tittle died at Stanford Hospital, near his home in California.  ( bully168 )

Tittle played for the Baltimore Colts (1948–1950), 49ers (1951–1960) and New York Giants (1961–1964) in the NFL, winning the 1963 MVP award, was a four-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection.

As for the cause of death of W.A. Tittle, it is likely that a more detailed autopsy will be performed before it is revealed.
