The Celtics led by 19 points the entire game , but were crushed by the Bulls 11-39 in the final quarter and lost badly, leaving the team with a 2-5 record. Even worse, they were 3 games in a row at home, and were booed by the TD Garden fans.

That made the unseen figure like Smart have to come out and nudge the two stars and the coach who sent the plan that they should rethink and rework, emphasizing teamwork more than the magic of any one player.  

” I think everyone who follows the game report knows that our team started with just those two guys and they didn’t want to pass the ball, which is something they both have to learn, ” he told NBC Sports .

“ They are probably learning, and we are proud of the process that is being built, but we just have to look beyond that, find a way to create a game that is not just about making and eating , but also about molding other people in the team. ”

“ It’s something we demand from him and we’ll learn from each other. In the meantime, let’s help each other and help our team .”  

Tatum shot just 8 of 22 in the fourth quarter, only 1 of 8 from the field with one assist and one steal , playing more than 10 minutes, efficiency stat -25. 

Brown was no less impressive, posting a -21 efficiency rating, missing two shots in the fourth quarter , and not recording a single point , rebound , assist , steal, or block.

We will have to wait and see if the Celtics ‘ working atmosphere will improve or if they will become inconvenient to look each other in the face. However, the former is more likely because Smart directly criticized the team last season and the team’s overall performance improved.
