TSN reports that the ceremony will take place before the game against the Sacramento Kings to honor his work throughout his first seven seasons with the Raptors since he was drafted No. 5 in the 1998 class.  ( wilson88 )

The 6’6″ ‘Dinosaur of Canada’ averaged  23.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals, was named Rookie of the Year in 1999 and continued to be an All-Star under Toronto before moving to the (former) New Jersey Nets in 2004. 

Nicknamed ‘Half Man, Half Amazing’, he competed in the 2000 All-Star Weekend and is still revered as a Slam Dunk legend, even after more than two decades.

The special feature of the Nov. 2 game is the return of DeMar DeRozan, a former fan favorite of the Raptors, who recently signed a three-year, $74 million contract with the Kings at the end of the season. 

The 2024-25 season is a busy one for the 47-year-old forward, who will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in October and retire his No. 15 jersey in Toronto in November. 

And then in late January 2025 , he will retire his jersey in Brooklyn, which is one of the eight franchises he played for during his 22 seasons in the league.
