The Kansas City Chiefs placed tight end Harrison Butker on injured reserve after the 29-year-old underwent surgery on a meniscus in his left knee and is expected to miss three to four weeks, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports. 

Butker has established himself as one of the NFL’s top kickers and helped the Chiefs start the season to a 9-0 record, but the Chiefs have faced another setback as the 29-year-old suffered an injury and underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove a meniscus in his left knee and is not expected to return until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old has made 18 of 20 field goals and 21 of 22 extra-point attempts this season. He will be replaced by Spencer Schrader, who was brought in from the New York Jets’ practice squad. He made two field goals in the Gang Green’s last game, a 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals(player1688)
