According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs are set to sign a three-year, $30 million contract with Valdes-Scantling The 27-year-old free agent winger will earn $18 million over the first two years of his contract and the deal will have a cap hit of $36 million based on incentives.

Valdez-Scantling Hill was viewed as a much cheaper addition compared to Hill, who signed a four-year, $120 million contract with a guaranteed $72.2 million deal with the Dolphins, despite the former Pack winger’s performance. The Gers won’t be able to compare after Hill received over 1,000 yards passing in 4 seasons, made the Pro Bowl 6 times and won the Super Bowl once.
