Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed Keon Coleman will not be involved in Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs after the rookie second-round draft pick suffered a right wrist injury, ESPN reports.
Coleman has been struggling with a right wrist injury since a Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins, which kept him out of last week’s win over the Indianapolis Colts, but McDermott confirmed the rookie wide receiver is not ready to play against the Chiefs on Sunday.
‘From what the coaches have told us, we still feel like he’s improving,’ McDermott said. ‘But we don’t think he’ll be back this week.’
McDermott also talked about wide receiver Amari Cooper and fullback Reggie Gilliam, who are also improving, especially Cooper, who missed the last two games with a left wrist injury, but Dalton Kincaid won’t be available Sunday after sophomore wide receiver injured his left knee in the second quarter of the win over the Colts.
Right tackle Spencer Brown, who suffered an ankle injury in the game against Indy, will also be assessed in the next two to three days.
McDermott also mentioned Matt Milano, who has been off the injured list since suffering a torn quadriceps in August, giving the Buffaloes 21 days to bring the veteran linebacker back onto the 53-man roster.
“He came back quicker this year after his injury, which gave him a chance to rehab here, to be around his teammates, which I think is good for Matt, but also good for our defense and our team,” McDermott said.
‘He’s a great leader, a bit of a quiet guy, but he’s a great player so he can lead by example and influence others in the right way for us here and that’s great to see and great to have him around and now he’s happy and excited to get back on the pitch and start playing football again.'( sakidbet )
