cosmo365 Washington Commanders trade Laremy Tunsil from Houston Texans to protect Jayden Daniels
The Houston Texans have agreed to send 30-year-old left tackle Laremy Tunsil and a 2025 fourth-round draft pick in a trade for 2025 third- and seventh-round draft picks, as well as 2026 second- and fourth-round draft picks, from the Washington Commanders, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. cosmo365
The Commanders recently completed a deal to trade 29-year-old wide receiver Deebo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers before splashing out on former 2016 first-round draft pick Tunsil from the Texans as a reliable cover for former 2024 quarterback Jayden Daniels.
It’s the second trade of Tunsil’s career, having been traded to Houston by the Miami Dolphins in August 2019 before the Texans traded the 30-year-old left tackle to Washington this offseason.
However, trading Tunsil, one of the best players on the offensive line, doesn’t make the most sense for the Texans, but with two years remaining on his current deal and the third-highest paid player in the league, unlocking the 31-year-old’s pay could be beneficial to them as well. ( cosmo365 )
