Barcelona have confirmed the departure of 18-year-old midfielder Noah Darwich to Stuttgart, with the player signing a contract with the Stadio Olimpico until the summer of 2029, Diario Sport reported on Tuesday. 

Darwich joined Barcelona from Freiburg in the summer of 2023 but has yet to make a single first-team appearance, despite being called up for training by Hansi Flick, before the 18-year-old midfielder decided to return to the Bundesliga by signing for Stuttgart. 

‘Barcelona and Stuttgart have reached an agreement for the transfer of Noah Darwich. The club will receive a share of the fee for any future transfer of the German midfielder and have the right to buy the player first.’

‘The club wishes him the best of luck and success in his future, both personally and professionally,’ a Barcelona statement said.

Darwish said: ‘I am very happy to join VfB, a very special club with a good performance. I continued to watch the Bundesliga regularly during my time at Barcelona and followed the incredible progress of VfB. Now I want to quickly settle in, get to know my teammates and work hard so that I can continue my development at VfB and achieve success at this club. ‘
