After the game ended, the goalkeeper who was a hero helping the team in the penalty shootout revealed to the BBC that he admitted that it was a tough game for Newcastle but was satisfied that everything went well.

“It was a very difficult game. Both teams had plenty of chances until it went into a penalty shootout. It’s like gambling. But I’m glad I was able to help the team.

“I think we are prepared. We did well (in the penalty shootout). We analyzed everything. Like and try to bring those things onto the field. I have to mention the goalkeeping coach who made my job easier than ever.

“Hopefully it (the result) will help lift our confidence. We wanted to regain confidence after the Arsenal game (lost) and we built a lot of confidence. We must seize the good things. And now we are in the next round. We are looking forward to it.”
