Vox888 Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid returned from injury Friday (local) wearing a protective face mask after suffering a broken nose and scoring 34 points in a 108-98 victory over the Charlotte Hornets, but will be rested Saturday. Vox888 

Embiid, who missed a game to recover after being elbowed in the face by an Indiana Pacers player, fractured his nasal cavity, then had his face mask fitted and helped the team win in front of their home crowd at the Wells Fargo Center. 

However, head coach Nick Nurse insists the trip to the Cleveland Cavaliers (Dec. 21) is not a risky one. 

“I thought he looked good,” Coach Nurse told Philadelphia Inquirer Sports. Vox888
