Fabrizio Romano, a famous journalist, reports that Flamengo has reached an agreement with AC Milan to sign Emerson for 9 million euros and now the two clubs are in the process of exchanging documents.

Previously, Turkish giants Besiktas had already agreed on preliminary terms with the player and had booked a date for his medical examination in advance.

However, the deal backfired when Flamengo sporting director José Boto stepped in to negotiate and seal the deal with the player at the last minute, forcing Besiktas to immediately pull out of the deal.

Emerson, who also played for Real Betis, Barcelona and Spurs, will return to Brazil on Friday to officially join Flamengo.
