Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has called up Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong to his 25-man squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Hungary and Bosnia on November 16 and 19, the 27-year-old midfielder’s first appearance in a year, De Telegraaf reported on Friday.

Frankie last played for the Netherlands in a 2-1 win over Ireland on September 10 last year, but the 27-year-old midfielder has been struggling with injuries since then, until his latest call-up, along with PSV Eindhoven forward Noa Lang and Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert. 

But the Dutch team is without injured RB Leipzig midfielder Chafi Simons, while Memphis Depay, who moved to Brazil to play for Corinthians, is also not in the squad.
