After the Arizona Cardinals agreed to a five-year, $230.5 million extension with $160 million guaranteed to Kyler Murray on Thursday, the Ravens’ long-term contract with Jackson has yet to be finalized, although the 25-year-old quarterback reportedly has no plans to skip training camp.
The Ravens opened camp for rookies to practice on July 19, with the rest of the roster set to begin Wednesday, July 27, but Jackson has often returned to work ahead of schedule, with the 25-year-old quarterback reportedly arriving to start practice as early as Thursday.
It was a coincidence that Jackson reported back the same day Murray and the Cardinals agreed to a five-year, $230.5 million extension. The deal makes Jackson the last big-name player to sign an extension before the 2022 season, but it will happen either during training camp or later.
