32-year-old veteran defensive end Brandon Graham has expressed his intention to stay with the Philadelphia Eagles despite what is expected to be a year of change for the team. ‘Philly’ followed suit, according to a report from ‘The Athletic’ on Wednesday.

Graeme entered the league as a first-round draft pick of the 2010 class, but the 32-year-old defensive end may end up playing just 11 seasons in Philadelphia as one of the more promising players. Was released from the team like many experienced players to resolve salary cap issues.

‘I don’t want to go anywhere,’ Graeme told The Athletic’s Zach Berman. ‘I know I don’t have a lot of time. But I know for myself I’m here in Philly, so when I (I’m retiring) will work here or do something in Philly to connect with the team. I don’t want to mess this up, just stage it out when things get a little more difficult. But who knows what this year will bring? Jalen (Hurts) could go out there and shake up our world and lead this team down a path that I feel like we might be able to do.’

The Eagles have salary cap issues after trading Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts, leaving them with $33.8 million in salary cap space, and Philly is expected to have a surplus. The salary cap reaches $43 million. Meanwhile, the NFL league has not yet officially set a salary cap after setting the minimum cap at $180 million.

Graeme is due to earn $13 million in the final year of his contract if the Eagles decide to release the 32-year-old defensive end, likely on June 1.

‘I want to see it pass. I hate to leave So I will stay I will be committed to the team as always and hope they keep going with me until the wheels fall off,’ Graeme said.
