The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to trade 27-year-old center Jay Huff for a second-round draft pick and another second-round draft pick with the Indiana Pacers, who are looking to replace Myles Turner, who is leaving for the Milwaukee Bucks, ESPN reports.
Huff averaged nearly seven points per game on 40 percent three-point shooting in 11.7 minutes per game with the Grizzlies last season, joining Karl-Anthony Towns and Kristaps Porzingis as the only three 7-footers to shoot 40 percent from three and make at least 200 shots.
As the Pacers look to bolster their frontcourt after 29-year-old center Turner signed with the Bucks this offseason.
The Grizzlies also reached an agreement with free agent center Jock Landale, and the trade for Huff would strengthen Memphis’ defense after Zach Eday underwent ankle surgery in June and Jaren Jackson Jr. is recovering from foot surgery and will be reevaluated in 12 weeks. kindee1688
