According to The Athletic, Rose signed a two-year deal in the summer of 2023-24, with a guaranteed salary for the 2024-25 season of $3.4 million.  ( superwin636 )

The 35-year-old fullback will next give an update on his future this week on whether he will continue or retire.

‘D.Rose’ averaged 8 points, 3.3 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 24 games for Memphis last season.

A series of nagging injuries have been a problem for him, such as a severe back injury towards the end of the regular season that forced him to take a break from the season even though there were months left in the schedule. Between December 2024 and January 2024, he missed several weeks due to a hamstring injury.  

The first draft pick of the 2008 class , he made a name for himself at the college level at the University of Memphis, played for the Tigers in the 2007-08 season , and was drafted by the Chicago Bulls one year later.
