Heat beat Nets in exchange for Smith’s left leg injury 123over 

123over  Miami Heat guard Drew Smith missed Monday’s 110-95 win over the Brooklyn Nets with a lower left leg injury and will undergo a thorough evaluation to determine treatment options. 123over

The Miami Herald Sports reported that although the scan results have not been released officially, the initial symptoms did not look good because Smith immediately went into the locker room after the injury with his wife following him. 

The worst possibility is an Achilles tendon, which is considered a serious injury and will require surgery for the entire 2024-25 season. 

The third-year veteran guard, who is on a two-way deal, is set to be promoted to a regular contract as the Heat face a Dec. 29 deadline to register at least 14 players after trading Thomas Bryan to the Indiana Pacers.  123over
