Mundo Deportivo reported on Tuesday that Mario Hermoso’s agent has offered the 29-year-old defender to Barcelona to sign the player before the summer window closes. 

Hermoso has been a free agent since his contract with Atletico Madrid expired on June 30, and has been linked with a number of clubs, including Napoli, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Manchester United, but has yet to agree a move, with the 29-year-old’s representatives reportedly offering the player to Barcelona. 

However, any deal for Hermoso will depend on Barcelona being able to finalise a new deal with Nike in the coming days to return to La Liga’s 1:1 rule, as the Blaugrana currently struggle with registration issues.

Investing in Hermoso would be beneficial for Barcelona as he is a free agent and can play at left-back or centre-back, adding depth to Hansi Flick’s squad and potentially making a profit in the future. ( superwin636 )
