The Saints expressed concern that Carr’s shoulder injury could require surgery and affect the start of next season, but the 34-year-old quarterback has since eased concerns that the issue is not as serious as first thought.
“I have the MRI to prove it,” Carr said. “The team knows about it. We’re in constant contact. There’s nothing wrong. We’re working on it and we’re going to work on it. Okay?”
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis previously said the Saints were waiting for clarity on Carr’s issues, and with the 34-year-old’s uncertainty, they decided to go with Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough in the second round of the draft (No. 40). ( hotfuns )
