The Chicago Bears have agreed to a three-year, $43.5 million deal with Grady Jarrett after the veteran defensive tackle was released by the Atlanta Falcons, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports. hotfuns
The former fifth-round pick in the 2015 draft class, who turns 32 in April, has spent the last 10 years of his career with the Falcons. Now he’s coming to Chicago to help improve a defense that ranked middling in 2024 with 40 sacks after signing a three-year, $48 million deal with former Indianapolis Colts edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo.
Jarrett has developed into one of the league’s best interior defensive players over the past decade, making two Pro Bowl appearances and recording 36.5 sacks, which would be a great addition to the Bears’ defense.
The Bears are also set to sign fellow Falcons center Drew Dallman, 26, to a three-year deal, bolstering their offensive line this offseason with veteran guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson. ( hotfuns )
