Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has settled the latest civil lawsuit filed by a woman alleging sexual harassment and assault against him, NFL Network reports. hotfuns

The plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, previously revealed that his client’s claim against Watson was confidential, before revealing that he had his client speak with the NFL to investigate the Browns quarterback, but it is not yet known whether Watson will face further punishment from the league.

The 29-year-old quarterback was previously suspended for the first 11 games of the 2022 season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy after more than 20 women accused him of sexually harassing and engaging in inappropriate behavior during massage therapy. Watson was also fined $5 million and required to undergo mandatory evaluations before the league could reinstate him. 

The new lawsuit was filed Sept. 9 in Harris County, Texas, by an unnamed woman who alleges Watson sexually assaulted her in 2020 while out to dinner at her apartment and is seeking more than $1 million in damages.

Watson has settled nearly a dozen civil lawsuits in the past, and the 29-year-old quarterback recently settled his latest civil case by agreeing to pay a small amount of damages to the women who sued him. ( hotfuns )
