According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Panthers are sending Arnold, a 26-year-old winger with third-round draft rights in 2022, in exchange for Henderson. Second-year Cornerback Pearson also has the same 5-year draft rights from the Jaguars, before both teams later confirmed.

The deal comes after the Panthers lost rookie cornerback Jayce Horn, a first-round draft pick, who suffered a broken foot in a win over the Houston Texans. Last Thursday, he had to rest for about 2-3 months. Henderson had a bad start to his career in Jacksonville, playing only 8 games in his rookie season. The former No. 9 overall draft pick in the 2020 class also missed Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals due to a groin injury. 

For the Jaguars, they need Arnold to help upgrade the inside wing position that is among the worst in the NFL league. The Leopards tried to make a deal with the 26-year-old winger last off-season, but Arnold opted to sign a two-year contract with the Panthers. Through the first three games of this season, he caught seven passes. 84 yards and is expected to become a top target for Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
