Free agent running back Kareem Hunt, 27, said he is patiently waiting for an offer with about a month remaining before training camp begins in the middle of next month, The News-Herald reported Thursday.  ( kindee1688)

Hunt is a free agent after completing his four-season stint with the Cleveland Browns, but amid one of the toughest running back markets in recent memory, Hunt remains without a new team, as are Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, Mark Ingram, David Johnson or Kenyan Drake. 

“I’m just patient,” Hunt said. “I’ve got some things going on, but right now I’m just enjoying time with my family. I’m training and working hard and always being ready.”

Hunt is happy to wait for an offer within a month before training camp begins. ‘I’m not upset at all. It’s going to pass. Now I’m here to spend time with my family, have fun and show the kids a good time at football camp. I know it’ll all work out in the end.’

The 27-year-old running back could also return to Cleveland, although it didn’t end well for both sides after Hunt expressed dissatisfaction with being reduced in his role, while the Miami Dolphins could also work out a deal with the veteran running back, although the Dolphins will keep Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson on the roster. 

“The Browns will always be my crazy favorite team, but I don’t really talk about that,” Hunt said. “I’m enjoying my time here at football camp and focusing on my body and mind. I’m in God’s hands and waiting for my next opportunity.”

‘(The opportunity) is coming soon,’ Hunt said. ‘I’m pretty sure of it.’
